The Swedish Parkinson's Association was formed in 1986 and works with opinion formation and lobbying against authorities and politicians concerning people with Parkinson's disease and atypical Parkinsonism.
Other tasks are education and information at all levels, as well as social and physical activities for our members.
The union is a non-profit and democratic organization that is religiously and politically independent. The Swedish Parkinson's Association is an idea-driven organization with non-profit interests. In the Swedish Parkinson's Association, all persons are of equal value regardless of gender, age, occupation, level of education, origin, political affiliation, religion or sexual orientation.
The Swedish Parkinson's Association is the only patient organization in Sweden that works exclusively to improve conditions for people with Parkinson's disease
